Laura Aquino
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Boston University and an LL.M. graduate from Harvard Law School.
My research examines how legal and institutional reforms shape economic outcomes, gender equality, and development.
I combine applied econometrics with legal analysis to study how informal institutions, enforcement capacity, and political incentives shape the effectiveness of policies such as gender quotas, contract mechanisms and property rights reforms.
I am on the 2025-2026 job market.
